Preseason Poll Frostburg at #3
The Preseason Coaches Poll has Frostburg finishing in third place. Medaille is the top with Penn State Behrend in the second position. We will play both of those teams on the road this year. We open conference play with Behrend on September 19 @ 3:00pm and then on October 3 @ 8:00 pm we will play Medaille. With this being our last season in the AMCC Conference we know that we can take no team lightly as each game presents different challenges. Hopefully playing the top teams on the road will bring out the best in our team as a quality effort will be needed come home with points from those programs.

Alumni Game

The annual Alumni Game will be held this year on August 29 at 2pm. All former players are invited to come back to play or watch. We hope to have a large group again as it is a great way to bridge the past with the present and show our current players how special it really is to be a part of the team. Post game activities are still TBD so check back for more details.

Second Annual Diabetes Tournament

The team sponsored and participated in an indoor soccer tournament at the Cumberland YMCA on Saturday, May 2 that helped raise close to $1,000 for the American Diabetes Association.
The FSU men’s soccer team would like to thank the FSU soccer alumni and several local teams that participated in this charity event where all the proceeds went to the ADA. Special thanks go out to Robert Wise and Nathan Kish as the organizers of the event and the Cumberland YMCA for the use of their facilities. We would also like to thank the referees; Joe Enright, Phil Van NewKirk, and Ron Petrella who generously donated their time to this event.
