Bobcats Blank Lycoming

Junior Defender Cody Buts
The team rebounded from the tough weekend loss with a 2-0 win over Lycoming College. Ryan Russell continued his hot streak tallying two more goals bringing his scoring streak to five consecutive games.
Senior Defender Jamie Flewellyn

It wasn't the prettiest soccer, but it was a shutout at home which is always nice to have. Russell would score on a nicely placed free kick midway through the first half and would put the game away with about 10 minutes to go in the second half.

Yacob Kahsai did a nice job of winning the ball back from a Lycoming defender and sent Ryan in on the backline. Ryan made a nice move to beat two defenders and then beat the keeper with a nicely placed ball towards the side netting.

Sophomore Defender Jard Fohs
Freshman Defender Mitchell Muise
The shutout was our team's fourth in eight games and we have only given up six goals in those eight games. Junior goalkeeper Abiye Jack has been impressive in goal and the backline has been very solid. Anchoring the backline is senior captain Jamie Flewellyn who has made a strong partnership with freshman center back Mitchell Muise. Junior transfer Cody Butts has been very consistent on the right side while senior Anthony Tossounian and sophomore transfer Jared Fohs have shared the duties at left back.

Next up is CAC opponent Mary Washington on Saturday. UMW is currently in first place with a 2-0 record in conference play.
