Bobcats Defeat Former AMCC Rival

Last Tuesday we had our first away match of the season against Penn St. Altoona. One of our goals this year was to do better on the road, so it was nice to get off to an early start.

Ryan Russell would net his 4th goal of the season in the 7th minute of the game after pressuring the Altoona defender into a mistake and chipping the goalkeeper from about 20 yards out. Jason Bennett would score10 minutes later to give us the 2-0 lead.

That was all the Bobcats would need as the defense would hold Altoona to just one shot for the match.

The win pushes our record to 5-0-1, which is the best start since the 1991 team won it's first 15 games on its way to 17-2-1 record. The team also earned recognition by being ranked the #9 team in the South Atlantic Region at the beginning of the week.
