YORK, Pa. – Frostburg State goalkeeper Hasan Mostafa has been honored as the Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, Monday afternoon.
The league announced Mostafa's weekly honor after the sophomore posted a pair of shutout wins last week for the Bobcats. He opened the week with nine saves in a slim 1-0 victory over Hood before capping the week with four saves in a 2-0 shutout of Wesley.
Mostafa has five shutouts on the season and has helped Frostburg to four-straight wins, all via shutout. He leads the CAC in goals against (3), goals against average (.33), and save percentage (.93).
